Glam Pro Combo Gel

New Light Aesthetics proudly uses the Legendary Rubber Base from Glam Pro. In extension to the Rubber Bas,e we use the Combo Gel. This product is mainly used to sculpt nails for our clients.  Firstly, a layer of Rubber Base is applied to the natural nail and cured in the UV/LED lamp. Then, sculpture forms are stuck onto the tip of the finger allowing the nail technician to build a nail from the natural nail to the client’s preferred shape and length. The result is a nail structure that can be filed or shaped to your desired length. Combo Gel can also be used but is not intended for, a natural overlay.

Sculpted nails are usually a ‘go-to’ service for clients wanting longer nails. Sculpted nails are also much stronger than extended nails using a plastic tip and glue. We recommend this service for any client who wishes to extend their nails.

Dermaplaning Facial

Dermaplaning is a form of manual exfoliation and hair removal of vellus hair. An aesthetician-grade sterile blade is stroked along the skin at an angle to gently “shave off” dead skin cells. The removal of dead skin cells allows home care products to be more effective, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, evens skin tone, and assists in reducing milia, closed and open comedones, and minor breakouts associated with congested pores.

Dermaplaning also temporarily removes the fine vellus hair of the face, leaving a very smooth surface. Due to the contours on the face, not all areas can be treated using this method – such as eyelids and nose.

The Dermaplaning treatment is most famous for clients that have events coming up. This includes but is not limited to weddings, photoshoots, birthday parties etc. After dermaplaning, the skin is very soft and smooth, which results in make-up applying more easily, lasting longer and reflecting more beautifully.

Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup results in enhanced features of the face. It is used to create definition to eyebrows, eyes and lips by the use of colours. Results can imitate topically applied cosmetics. Permanent makeup procedures are done with a rotary or a digital device and can last up to 5-7 years. It is suitable for all skin types, including mature and oily skin.

Our permanent makeup technique is entirely safe and performed by a qualified cosmetic specialist in the industry with an internationally recognized certification. Our paramedical approach makes the procedure painless, safe and highly satisfying. We offer medically approved intradermal cosmetic techniques, with medically tested organic and inorganic pigments that are applied to the upper dermal layer of the skin. Permanent makeup procedures include micro-shaded eyebrows, pixel/ombre brows, eyebrow corrections, natural top and bottom eyeliner, blended lipliner, nano lips and nano lips intense. Please note that nano lips and nano lips intense are not suitable for type 4 skin tones.

For the first 1-3 days, the permanent makeup may look darker, this is due to pigment remaining in the outer layer of the skin. The colour will soften within the next 3-5 days because of the upper layers of the epidermis are being replaced by new cells. This is the normal healing process. Initially, when the scabs detach, the skin will appear pink due to new skin cells. These pink skin cells will return transparent after a 6-week skin cycle, and colour will smooth out, darken and mature after 6-8 weeks. It is recommended to undergo a colour refresher every 2-3 years.

Microblading

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that helps to create fuller eyebrows. A small handheld tool with a blade containing 12 small needles is used to add pigment to the skin. This technique makes use of drawing tiny hairs on the skin of your eyebrow that looks just like your own eyebrow hair. This procedure is used for clients looking for fuller but natural eyebrows. Microblading is not suitable for mature or oily skin and can last for up to 12-24 months. It is recommended to undergo a yearly colour refresher.
